Hopefully there will
be a new video lesson
ready by new years.

My New Strings.
Thanks Clinton!
Well I've been
practicing alot, getting
used to my new guitar
setup.  Now using
very heavy gauge strings
and a thick pick.
Sounds quite nice - click
on the above link to hear
it.

All files in the video and
music section are going
to be removed quite soon.

If you don't yet have the
full length video lesson
you should download it
before I remove it.

As for songs, the only
one worth getting is
'Spanish Ways' -
that one might stay.

Also,
we are going to rework
most of the site...
Eventually..

We're looking for writers for
the The Daily Grind column
in the forums.

If you have any good guitar
warm ups, or finger patterns
for shredding practice, e-mail
Alex through the contact
button on the left side.

July 14, 2006 - The Daily Grind
Every 2 days we will have new
exercises in the forums.  Check
them out.

Everything is way behind
scheduale.  If you are looking
for new/recent lessons and such
register a free account on the
forums and check out the
riff swapping section.

Ramones music
video is still coming.  Other
than that there is pretty much
no more space for video lessons
so as soon as we have filmed
2-3 more lessons, we are
going to put them all on
DVD and sell them at
a reasonable price.

If you come by the site
drop us a line in the forums.
It's kind of frustrating to
see how little users we
have even after joining
the shred netring etc.

June 14, 2006
Added a trailer for the new lesson.
Click here to see it or go to the
Goodies section.

Alot of good stuff is coming this week.
First, there will be a brand new video
lesson on tapping,  It's already been
filmed and just has to be edited
before it is ready.

Next we have a cool video tribute to
Joey Ramone; a clay mation version
of the Ramones playing rock and
roll highschool.  That will also be
up soon.

May 23, 2006
Added a techniques section in the music
and put some little clips up.

May 22, 2006
Ok the video lesson should be downloading
properly now.  The forums are more or less
complete.

May 13, 2006
There is a very rough demo of a new song in the
music section.  Right now it's just one guitar
and the drum track but all the main ideas are
more or less there.

I put this up in a hurry because unfortunately
we won't be having any more updates until
next saturday or sunday, although there will
still be work done on the forums, just not
the lessons/music sections.

May 12, 2006
We are part of the shred netring now.

May 11, 2006
More music.  Some sloppy shredding.
Forums are up.

May 10, 2006
Gonna work all night to get some stuff up.
Hopefully a new text lesson and a clip
of the latest video lesson.  We are
quickly running out of storage space
though.

Our first exclusive interview here at paradise2k! We are all
very excited about this.  You can find it in the Goodies
section.  We will also write an article some time this week
detailing all the licks we were fortunate enough to get from
Lefty Browns and (thru him), Bootsocks.

May 8, 2006
Put most of the links in and added another clip in
the music section.  It's called sloppy stylings.
Basically it's just me shredding abit against a
jam track.

May 7, 2006 - www.paradise2k.com is FINALLY UP AND RUNNING

All this week we will be updating daily.

So we are finally up and running.  The first video lesson
along with the tabs have been uploaded, they are in the lessons
section.  There is also a song in the music section - a really old
one of mine; no shred but its still a nice song called Spanish Ways.

I find the initial harmonies slightly sour though.  If anyone actually
likes this piece I'd be willing to redo it.  Otherwise I'll just leave it
as it is.

It was recorded about two years ago, mostly just to play around
with the mic positioning for recording acoustic parts.
Make sure to tell me what you think.

Funny thing is, we had planned to have the site up and running with
at least 2 video lessons by Jan 1, 2006.  Time just flies i guess.
This week I will be updating daily.

What's coming next?

-More text-only lessons

-An interview with guitarist Lefty Browns as he speaks on
the importance of the late great blues guitar  player
Misissippi Bootsock.

-Another free video lesson, this time on tapping

-a shred contest is in the works, email if you wish to
participate.  The prize will be worth it, trust me.

-More songs and a full length DVD

-some photos of custom guitar work done by Chris Thomas
