Guitar Lesson and Tab Sites

Chops From Hell - Guitar lessons site focusing on shred.  Sells VHS/DVD instructional videos and contains a number of free lessons and articles.

Wholenote Guitar - Large archive of guitar lessons and tabs covering an enormous range of styles and artists -  all for free.

Weed's Classical Archive - Great site for the classical guitar player, shredders should check it out as well.  Contains thousands of tabs, many with midi versions of the pieces as well.

Shredders Sites

Jason Becker - Jason Becker is a true virtuoso.  He has inspired many people with both his talent and his tenacity in the face of great difficulties.

Bucket Head - Bucket Head Land.  Amusement park and official site of the eccentric 21st century guitar anti-hero: Bucket Head. Be sure to check out his new video "We Are One."

Yngwie Malmsteen - The man who sparked the neo-classical shred craze.  An incredible musician.

Michael Angelo Batio - Another virtuoso shredder, and quite possibly the second-most arrogant man alive.

Ritchie Blackmore - Ritchie Blackmore, formerly guitarist for the band Deep Purple, is an icon of rock guitar.  His work deeply influenced many of the early shredders.  He now plays with the band Blackmore's Night - an interesting mix of celtic and other influences.  Probably not what you would expect.

Joe Satriani - Joe Satriani's incredible fusion of styling with monster guitar technique and knowledge have given birth to the quasi-mystic belief that he may  be the love child of an illicit alien-human relationship that most likely took place in outer space.

Steve Vai - Steve Vai is also a martian.

Joe Stump - Another great shredder whose influences include Ritchie Blackmore and Malmsteen.
